Ischgl, Austria

I have been to over twenty different European ski resorts and Ischgl is at the top of my list of my all time favorites!  It is a beautiful

and traditional Austrian ski village. It is a compact village that packs a punch and checks all the boxes. The skiing is vast and wide

ranging with over 175 miles of trail skiing and a great snow record. You will have plenty of fun on the slopes.  Ischgl is in a league

of its own off the slopes too. Ischgl's apres ski scene is #1 in all of Europe and appeals to all tastes. Whether if you want to dance

on a table inyour ski boots or hang out at a wine bar you can find it all in Ischgl.  There truly is fun to be had everywhere in Ischgl!

The ski area is huge and caters to all levels of skiers.  Each area can easily be reached from the village. Our hotel is located smack

dab in the middle and just steps from the gondola and all the restaurants and nightlife.

South Africa Extension

I have been to South Africa and it is truly one of the most amazing countries I have ever visited! The sheer variety of experiences

on offer in South Africa is diverse, and never has the phrase "there’s something for everyone" been more true. People come to

South Africa for its natural beauty, wildlife, and cultural experiences. We will visit beautiful Cape Town and see all the

neighborhoods, historical sites, waterfront and cable car up to the top of Table mountain for some epic views.

Just drive 45 minutes from Cape Townand you are in one of the world's best wine country.  After our time in Cape Town we will

spend a full day and night in wine country and spend the night at the  5 star Lanzerac Estate & Winery where we will be treated

to wine tastings and a gourmet dinner

We will be visiting several historical sights including Robben Island, which is the prison political prisoners, including Nelson

Mandela was held for twenty seven years.  We will meet experts on our tour and learn about this part of South African history. 

We will also visit the District 6 museum.  District Six was a vibrant, communityin Cape Town until its residents were forcibly

evicted by the apartheid government in the 1970's. The museum will walk us through the areas turbulent history.

After four nights in the Cape Town area you may choose to continue on for two nights at a game park in the Eastern Cape of South

Africa at renowned Kariega Game Reserve. We will stay in the lodge and have the chance to see all of the Big 5 including Lions,

Rhinos, Elephants, Leopards & Buffalo. This malaria-free safari park is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see these wild animals

up close and is the perfect complement to our visit to Cape Town.

Sat. Jan 27  - Depart Chicago 7:10pm arrive Zurich at 10:50am (United-flight #UA9727 or Swiss A3)
Sat. Feb 3 - Depart Zurich 6:40pm arrive Sunday, Feb 4 at 7:05am - overnight flight (Edelweiss Air flight #WK 86...United partner)

Sat. Feb 10 - Depart Port Elizabeth (airport near Game Reserve)  2:35pm arrive Cape Town 4:00pm. Book your next flight at least

two hours after arrival in Cape Town (you may fly from Port Elizabeth instead if it works better for you)
